A Burial At Sea Maritime Funeral Services is a small, family-owned operation that provides a caring, respectful and dignified
delivery of the ashes of loved ones to the sea. We are NOT a large volume operation that processes thousands of ashes over the course of year. We ARE
a small company that provides individualized and personal services. We are usually at sea two or
more days every week simply because we love being on the ocean. Weather and sea conditions permitting, we are usually able to accommodate a request within 30 days.
A Burial At Sea provides a beautiful 8 ½" X 11" burial certificate recording date, latitude and
longitude of the service. This information is recorded so that families may return for memorial services. The certificate is signed by the Captain and is suitable for framing. Click here to view a sample.
The areas that we travel to for the service are off the coast of Rhode Island. On a clear day,
the areas are visible from different lighthouse locations that are accessible all year. Many families like to come back to these lighthouse locations to visit with their loved ones from shore.
The Captain records key information and files all required reports with government agencies.

Cremation and scattering of ashes at sea has been a tradition for thousands of years, although some religions have varying
views on the practice. If you have doubts about whether your loved one's faith permits a maritime funeral service, please consult a trusted religious advisor.
Pet cremation and delivery to the sea is an increasingly popular tradition among pet caretakers. A Burial At Sea offers the same
range of maritime funeral services for pets.
Dear Vicki and David,
Thank you so much for the pictures, and everything. It's beautiful. I will highly recommend you. I put one of your flyers on the
bulletin board here. When I see the people at the funeral home about my arrangements I will let you know. Right now I'm busy having eye operations. Again thank you, you both did a beautiful job.
Dear Dave & Vicki Morin,
I was very impressed when I received my son John's certificate for Burial at Sea. I did not expect anything so tastefully done. I also appreciate your stopping at the lighthouse which my son loved. Thank you!

Dear Dave and Vicki,
Thanks very much for all your help with my husband Craig's maritime funeral service. We all appreciated your kindness,
compassion, and expertise. All in all, it was a beautiful send off, and I think Craig would have been pleased.

My sister called and told me how peaceful and beautiful the scattering was today. How I wish I could have been there! I did my
meditation this morning and I did feel like I was there in spirit. Thank you so much for making this a special service for my
Mom and Dad. They should be very pleased to be among the lighthouses of Rhode Island again.
